The Avaya 1616-I IP desk phone was developed for the “Navigator” user type. Users may include reception staff, secretaries and managers who answer incoming calls, transfer customers to other departments or directly to the desired contact, and monitor multiple lines during a normal working day. For Navigator users, the 1616-I provides the highest number of one-touch line/function/speed-dial keys. There is no need to scroll through on-screen lists.

Key features of the Avaya 1616-I:

The Avaya 1616-I supports 16 line appearances/function keys on the phone itself – and, with a 32-button expansion module, provides access to a total of 48 function keys or speed-dial keys.
Each key has two LEDs (red, green) that clearly indicate the status to the user.
To provide a familiar look and feel, the 1616-I has fixed keys for common telephone functions such as conference, transfer, drop, hold and mute.
The 1616-I also features a high-quality two-way speakerphone and, via the integrated headset socket, supports a wide range of corded and cordless Avaya headsets.
Context-sensitive user interface with 3 softkeys and 4-way navigation for scrolling through the phone book or call log.
The display of the 1616-I has 4 lines of 24 characters and an adjustable viewing angle.
Caller-related information and active indicators are also displayed for easier call handling.
The display is backlit for easier reading in a wide range of lighting conditions.
